Abstract:
This paper shows the formative and developing frequency of tropical cyclone on the Southwestern Pacific Ocean using the data in recent 12 years. In the meantime, the different general circulation character between higher and lower frequence perids of tropical cyclone are discussed and analysed, and find out a favorable area for the tropical cyclone occurrence combining some data from Darwin Regional Meteorological Center with tropical cgclone character in 1984-1985. Finally, the objective fact that the steering level of tropical cyclone movement over the Southwestern Pacific Ocean is different from that over the Northwestern Pacific-Ocean is presented, and in the meanwhile, a relative higher and lower troposphere situation of tropical cyclone forming is also introduced.
