Abstract: Erom a great deal of observed data, a stable southeasterly boundary-layer jet is found over the Leizhou Peninsula. My study with 115 cases of such processes on its basic characteristics and synoptic patterns giving rise to the jet concludes that the jet. differs greatly in characteristics from the surface low southerly jet in South China.
