NONLINEAR BAROTROPIC INSTABILITY OF ATMOSPHERE BEHAVING UNDER DRIVING AND DISSIPATING CONDITION

摘要: 本文从Charney研究多平衡态的包含摩擦耗散、热力强迫和大地形的非线性准地转正压涡度方程出发,应用Serrin-Joseph的能量方法,利用变分原理,分别用总能景和总位涡拟能导得纬向基流的非线性正压稳定性判据。Abstract: Using Serrin-Joseph's energy method and variational principle, the nonlinear barotropic stability criteria of the basic flow with the total energy and total potential enstrophy was found from a nonlinear quasi-geostrophic barotropic equation embedded with frictional dissipation, thermal driving and large topography used by Charney in his investigation of the multiple flow equilibria.
