FURTHER INVESTIGATION OF THE THEORY FOR AVAILABLE POTENTIAL NEFRGY IN PLANETARY ATMOSPHERE

摘要: 本文讨论了从两种观点(方法)出发推导的有效位能数理表达式。即Lorenz(1955)导出的欧拉观点有效位能表达式和Smith(1969)[2]导出的拉格朗日观点表达式。本文用拉格朗日方法重新推导的P坐标有效位能表达式与Smith方法有异。在此基础上,重新推导了有效位能平衡方程并讨论了其中的效率因子问题。指出,用欧拉方法不可以得到所谓效率因子。Abstract: In this paper are investigated two differently-derived numerical expressions for available potential energy. One of them is the work of Lorenz(1955) in Eular's standpoint,and the other of Smith (1969) following the method of Lagrange. Differences are found between the latter and the one in P-coordinates obtained by the same method here. Furthermore,the equilibrium equation of available potential energy is developed again and a so-called efficiency factor is demonstrated to be absent with the Eular method.
