Abstract: In this paper the EOF analysis of the net incoming radiation over Northwestern Pacific has been studied.The results show that the second and fourth eigenvectors have obvious inhomogeneity along latitude and longitude,respectively. The perturbation heating of the net incoming radiation and its variation with time are closely related with the seasonal movement of the Subtropical High over NW Pacific.
