APPLICATION OF OLR DATA IN ANALYSIS AND FORECAST OF EXCEPTIONALLY HEAVY RAIN IN APRIL-JUNE RAINY SEASON IN SOUTH CHINA

摘要: 运用OLR资料分析1975—1977、1979—1982年期间华南前汛期的17次特大暴雨过程,综合出三类OLR场形式,揭示了特大暴雨形成和出现时的特征,同时还结合对流稳定度指数分析,为这类暴雨的超短期预报提供了诊断方法。Abstract: OLR data is used to study 17 processes of exceptionally heavy rain during the April-June rainy seasons in South China in 1975-1977 and 1979-1982. Three OLR field patterns are found and characteristics accompanying the generation of the rain revealed. Derived from the findings, a diagnostic method is used with indexes of convective stability to make near real-time forecast of this exceptionally heavy rain.
