A NUMERICAL MODEL TAKING ACCOUNT OF FLOW FEATURES AROUND THE TIBETAN PLATEAU

摘要: 设计了一个在水平和垂直方向均具有混合p-σ坐标性质的修正σ坐标模式(称绕流模式),通过地形的刚体内边界条件实现青藏高原附近下层气流的绕流。并对绕流模式和相应的通用修正σ坐标模式(本文设计的参照模式)的24小时预报结果作了对比分析,结果表明:绕流模式改善了对流层中下层高原附近及其下游地区的预报。Abstract: In a modified σ-coordinated model (called deflective model) that mixes p-σ coordinates in both horizontal and vertical directions, deflective low level flows are reconstructed around the Tibetan Plateau using inner rigid boundary conditions for the topographic features. The 24hr predictions for the deflective model and a general modified coordinated model are commpared with the results showing that the deflective model has improved the predictions for upper and middle troposphere around the plateau and its downstream areas.
