Abstract: By statistic and physical quantity diagnosis, differences between groups of low-latitude circulation processes corresponding to El Nino events and their seasonal characteristics are discussed using tropical grid point winds and OLR data. It is found that there are significant difference between them in the distribution of constant kinetic energy. momentum and temperature. The groups of circulation processes have different effects on procipitation and temperature in China, showing marked seasonal variations.
