Abstract:
Using one-level numerical diagnostic model, the features of surface wind fields in Hainan Island and Leizhou Peninsula and nearby sea area are studied. In the experiments of prevailing sy noptic situation for different seasons in terms of by-passing and up-sloping flows, convergence lines,sea/land breeze and mountain/valley wind, are shown apparently, reflecting differences in the features of mesoscale distribution with season.The complex terrain and sea/land distributions in the area are the important cause to form varying mesoscale circulations,and then the close relationship between local climatic distributional feature and mesoscale circulation is revealed.
