Abstract: In this paper,using data of hourly pressure of Nanxiong and Dianbai stations in Guangdong Province during heavy flooding in June 1994,we have made a wavelet analysis in which disturbances affecting the station at all kinds of temporal scales can be clearly shown and wavelet coefficients can be need to help determine main synoptic systems in this period Various reconstuctions can be made with the inverse wavelet transformation.
