Abstract: Based on SST data of the Pacific,height field data at 500hPa,and air temperature data of Changchun in summer,the relationship between antecedent SST of Nino-C area and air temperature over Northeast China in summer were studied.The results show that air temperature over Northeast China in summer is related to SST of Nino-C area in May to July of the previous year.It is rather significant after the year of ENSO event.Air temperature over Northeast China is higher in summer if the months May to July was in El Nino,and it is lower if the months May to July was in La Nina.Air temperature forecast can be given by this relationship.Based on the analysis of air-sea interaction and rhythm,possible path by which air temperature over Northeast China in summer was affected by antecedent SST of Nino-C area was studied.
