Abstract:
In this paper, the long-term fluctuations of the landing typhoon which are characterised as the inversion of more/less periods are statistically analyzed in terms of various coastal regions in the East Asia during 1884-1980.The fluctuation periods of most coastal regions are about 20-yr (low frequency)and 5-6-yr(high frequency). The differences among the long-term fluctuations over various coastal regions are shown with period, phase and swing. Some relationship between the long-term fluctuations of the landing typhoon and low frequency fluctuations of large-scale pressure circulation are illustrated finally.
