Abstract: During the South China first rainy season major precipitus clouds in Gutian, Fujian Province, are the stratus clouds and the mixed cumulus and stratus clouds.Nine years of data of bright bands observed in them are used to analise the characteristics of their structure for this season.Among other issues discussed are the difference in the distribution and features of the bright bands for different synoptic regimes, different positions relative to frontal systems and different time of the year.
