热带西太平洋海温变化及其与赤道东太平洋海温变化的关系
VARIATIONS OF THE SST IN THE WESTERN TROPICAL PACIFIC AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO THOSE IN THE EASTERN EQUATORIAL PACIFIC

摘要: 利用1951-1988年10°S-50°N太平洋的SST资料对热带西太平洋海表温度的变化及其与赤道东太平洋海表温度变化的关系进行了分析,发现热带西太平洋SST存在准两年周期的变化。这种变化与ENSO活动相联系;ElNino年的SST距平值位于谷值;反ElNino年的SST距平值位于峰值。热带西太平洋与赤道东太平洋的SST变化存在弱的反相关关系。两者间存在位相差,前者的变化比后者超前几个月甚至1年。文中还分析了西太平洋暖池次表层海温的变化,发现它存在准两年周期的振荡。ElNino发生的前一年均有次表层海温升高,然而并不是每一次的次表层海温出现正距平都对应会发生一次ElNino事件。暖池次表层海温在50-200m之间变化最大,振幅最大达±5℃。Abstract: By using the Pacific SST data,we have analysed the SST variations in the western tropical Pacific(WTP) and their relationship with the SST variations in the eastern equatorial Pacific(EEP).The analysis results show that a relation exists between the variations of SST in the WTP and the ENSO activities. The variations of SST anomallies are at the wave trough in the la Nino years and are at the wave ridge in the La Nino years.The results also show that a weak negative correlation relationship exists between the SST variations in the WTP and those in the EEP. The occurrence of SST variatiofis in the WTP appears several months to even about one year prior to that in the EEP.The sub-surface sea temperatures in the warm pool in the western Pacific are analysed. It is found that there exists quasi-biennial oscillation. The raise of sub-surface sea temperatures occurs one year ahead of the occurrence of the E1 Nino event. Nevertheless, the appearance of the positive temperature anomalies. in the warm pool do not always leads to the occurrence of a E1 Nino events. The maximum variations of the sub-surface temperatures appear in the lever batween 50m and 200m. The maximum amplitude is up to 5°C.
