Abstract:
By using the two level atmospheric general circulation model(IAP GCM II), some numerical experiments are made to study the path of the 500 hPa temperature response in association with the South China Sea SST abnormally in winter. When the South China Sea SST is abnormal warm, the transmission path of the response can be divided into two directions. The northward one is in an-anti clockwise route from the South China Sea through the southeast China to the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau. The southward one is over the Equator to the Southern Hemisphere. When the South China Sea SST is abnormally cold, the transmission path of the response is in a clockwise route from the South China Sea through the Thailand Gulf to the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau.
